Joene Fraley
FRALEY Joene Fraley, age 62, of Grove City, born November 7, 1946 in Wynnewood, Okla., passed away February 25, 2009 at Doctors Hospital West. Joene was an active member of the Grove City Community for many years. She has left a lasting legacy of encouragement, laughter and love for her family and friends to cherish and remember. She was a hair stylist with Florio's and Enchanted Mirror Salons for many years. Joene spent many years as a volunteer in the Southwestern City School District, when her daughter was a student, and was also a classroom volunteer in the Hilliard City School District, when her daughter became a teacher. She enjoyed Bunco, ceramics and swimming at the YMCA. Joene is preceded in death by parents Hershel and S. Marie Adams and sister Jacquelyn Adams. She is survived by loving husband of 34 years, Ray Fraley; daughter, Michelle Rae Fraley (John Swartzbaugh) of Hilliard; aunts, Frances (Arvis) Davis and Ann Good; cousins, Paula Scheller and Jim (Debbie) Manning, all of Hobbs, N.M.; close friends, Gina, Gary and Brad Evans, Eva and Ike Eicksteadt, all of Grove City; and Dr. Paul and Jimilea Gutheil of Powell; as well as many other special relatives and friends. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 2697 Columbus Street, Grove City, where service will follow at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to The ALS Association, Central & Southern Ohio Chapter, 1170 Old Henderson Road, Suite 221, Columbus, Oh. 43220. *** I can remember Joene making me eat all my veggies / salad at every meals I shared with her family growing up. Thanks to her I love Veggies still to this day. Her smile was one with such warmth and compassion. She could always brighten your day! I learned so much from her as a youngest but didn't realize all I had learned until my adult years. Thanks you so much for being a part of my life....
