Unemployment rose in most central Ohio counties in July, figures from the state showed yesterday.
Franklin County's rate rose to 9.2 percent from 9 percent in June. A year earlier, the jobless rate was 5.9 percent.
The jobless rate rose by 0.2 percentage point in Delaware County, to 7.7 percent. It rose in Fairfield and Union counties to 9.3 percent.
The rates in Madison and Pickaway counties rose by 0.1 percentage point, to 9.9 percent and 11.6 percent, respectively.
The lone decline in central Ohio was in Licking County, where the rate fell to 10.2 percent from 10.3 percent.
The statistics from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services are not seasonally adjusted.
