This has not yet happened in our condo area but has happened in Grove City the last couple of weeks. We thought you would want to be aware of it.
Take caution when having work done in your home. It could be maintenance or even carpet cleaning. Make a note of the license plate number on the maintenance vehicle.
According to the police, legitimate workers come into the home. While there they case the place and make note of where valuable items are. They check your calendar to find out when you will be away from home. They jimmy the locks so you think they are locked when they are not. You might also be sure there are not keys lying around that could be picked up.
The workers then pass the information on to a second group that enters the home and takes what they want.
