Health insurer Aetna said today it will add 245 jobs to its New Albany call center after receiving a $2 million tax incentive from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority last week. The incentive calls for the creation of the jobs and the retention of 1,340 others, the Ohio Department of Development said.
Last week, Aetna had not firmly committed to accepting the incentive and creating the jobs.
The company, which has had operations in New Albany since 1998, was awarded the 65 percent credit to expand its call center.
The deal requires the company to run the call center there for the next 14 years.
