COLUMBUS, Ohio – On Saturday, the Habitat of Humanity of Greater Columbus joined forces with an electronic recycling company to bring technology to many Central Ohioans who do not have a home computer. The on-going project called Access/All Columbus will provide 75 Franklin County families with computers.

The event is run by Habitat for Humanity in conjunction with Techused, an asset recovery-electronics recycling company located in Hilliard. The memories are wiped and hard drives are restored. Habitat volunteers will work with the families and teach them how to use the devices. Every family member must attend a computer basics and internet security training as part of the program. In exchange for a donation of computer equipment, donors received a generous discount at Habitat’s restore as well as a discount for used computer hardware or televisions at Techused.
